Dissection of a Citation to Find Resources

Introduction
Today you will be dissecting citation formats and learning to find
resources in the library. This is also your first exposure to the
References Cited
format of the Geological Society of America Bulletin you will be using
this
semester.
Goal
Demonstrate the many approaches to citation format.
Learn to find a reference from a citation.
Objective
Learn the GSA Bulletin References Cited format.
Learn to read the many reference citation formats.
Reading:
Read the references cited section of Lamb et al. (2007). This
paper can be obtained from the Library JournalList and on reserve in
the library. You should also review the References Cited
material.
Assignment
Bring the completed resource exercise worksheet with your name on
it.
