Department of Earth Sciences COURSE MATRIX

The Earth Sciences encompass those branches of science which deal with Earth materials and processes, their variability across time and space, and their significance to humanity. Major subdivisions include Geology and Geography, and some minor subdivisions include Geophysics, Geochemistry, Climatology, and Cartography. The course matrix below shows the courses we offer and the approximate organization of our undergraduate and graduate courses.  Links lead to the MSU Course Bulletin description or a course site where available.
