Description

Macroevolution explores major trends in evolution through geologic time. The course examines such topics as whether communities evolve, cladogenesis, mass extinctions, rates of speciation and extinction, controls of biodiversity, and the role of sex and body size in evolution. Prerequisite: GEOL 310 or GEOL 312 or BIOL 301.
